Tito Laclé began his professional dog training career after receiving his Professional Dog Obedience Trainer certification in August 2011 from Penn Foster University. In October 2011,  and getting hands–on training in both Aruba, the USA, and the Netherlands, he founded the Aruba Dog Academy, specializing in Basic Obedience Training for puppies and rehabilitation of older dogs in Aruba. His services involved personalized, one-on-one training sessions at the client’s residence. He had the opportunity to walk with the Dutch USAR cadaver dog brigade in Nunspeet, Netherlands during their training sessions and received hands-on training from the Dutch K9 Police Unit. After returning to Aruba, he briefly joined the Aruba K9 police team, as a spokesperson where together with the team he visited schools and local companies to demonstrate the capabilities of the K9 police dogs. He also conducted training for numerous local police officers, teaching them how to deal with street dogs in distress and respond to calls involving unruly dogs. After a brief hiatus in 2020, he resumed the dog training sessions in 2023. In December 2023, he was part of a very selected few people who got to participate in the  TWC (Training Cesar’s Way) course led by the world–renowned dog trainer and behaviorist Cesar Millan in Ft Lauderdale, USA. Upon returning to Aruba, he rebranded the Aruba Dog Academy into an even more personalized hands-on format, now today as ‘The Dog Specialist’. His expertise expanded to cover not only basic obedience and rehabilitation of dogs but also leash training and dogs with behavioral issues after completing the TWC course. Since the rebranding of the business in January 2024, The Dog Specialist has gained even more recognition as a prominent dog trainer and behaviorist, with a waiting list sometimes of clients of 1 up to 2 months. Due to his very successful training methods and skills, his training services are highly sought after, not only in Aruba but also in the neighboring islands of Curacao and Bonaire. He has even assisted clients in Miami with successful results.
